About The Bookshop at Pandora Press

The Bookshop at Pandora Press has an intentionally selected collection of books from a wide variety of publishers that encourages thoughtful reflection of our faith and lives.

History
After the closing of Readers' Ink Bookshop in July 1999, the Kitchener-Waterloo community was without the services of a bookstore specifically oriented to serving the Mennonite community. The opening of The Bookshop at Pandora Press on December 17 1999 re-established the long tradition of locating a Mennonite-owned and operated bookstore in the Kitchener-Waterloo area.

Location
The Bookshop is centrally located at 33 Kent Avenue, Kitchener, across the street from the building that houses MCC Ontario, the Mennonite Savings and Credit Union, and Mennonite World Conference offices.

Purpose
The Bookshop is, above all, a resource to the Mennonite community. At the core of its inventory are titles published by Mennonite publishers: Pandora Press, Good Books, Faith and Life, and Herald Press. In addition, The Bookshop has a collection of titles of interest to like-minded ecumenical communities. These categories include, among others: Peace and Justice, Inner Life, Worship/Liturgy, Christian Education, as well as a significant collection of children's books that reflect these core interests.
